It all started with job hopping.
People said I was a job hopper. I really wasn’t, I just loved the interview and resume process.
My first ‘real’ job was at a staffing agency where I fell in love with cleaning up resumes and teaching people how to present themselves in interviews.
I got addicted to cleaning up my resume and applying for jobs. All sorts of jobs. The types of jobs you aren’t supposed to get – jobs I loved and some I didn’t really like all that much.
Then, a friend said “Hey, can you help me clean up my resume?” I pounced. I was excited. I took it on and never looked back. I knew I wanted to work in this field, a sort of “Modified HR”, I knew I wanted to spend my days working on resumes and presentation skills and passion and building up confidence and getting you your dream job!
Some things others say to and about me:
- Hyper-organized, OCD, loves the nitpicky ridiculously tiny details, wishes she could edit the world, has too much fun with the ‘delete’ key
- Talks to strangers and truck-stop waitresses, learns their life story
- Frank, open, no bulls*!# – as in: the only one at a party to tell you have spinach in your teeth, but you know, tactfully
- Can tell in 2 minutes if she wants to hire you
- Is a whiz at figuring out the problem and how to solve it
My experience, or, why I’m hirable:
- 15 years coaching experience, successfully getting the job and getting the job for others
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a Minor in Teaching and Training
- Published in several academic journals
- Created a whole new approach to job searching that doesn’t involve mindless application to hundreds of jobs, I call it “Reverse HR”
- Give me 30 days, do the techniques, and I guarantee you the job you want, or your money back
